This means that you can tear the ziplock in the upper corners when opening the bag if you are not a little careful when opening the bag's closure.
The secret is to open the bag in the middle with your fingertips/nails pressed down and then open the rest of the bag. You should NOT just pull the bag apart, as this could break the seal.
